The black ice is still on the lakes so the paddle will have to stay in the closet for a little longer. All isn't lost - recent warm temperatures means a short backpacking trip is in order! We chose to hike a small portion of the La Cloche Silhouette trail in Killarney Provincial Park. Now that we're back, we wish we did the whole 100km trail - next year perhaps.
